WHAT TO EXPECT FROM EFFECTIVE FOOD PHOTOGRAPHYThe art of presentation in Food Photography is intended to reflect the quality and care that is given to each and every dish offered by a Master Chef or Eatery. Fine Food Photography combines cuisine, color and artistry to produce delicious imagery that eludes the very savor of a dish along with all of itís essential ingredients. The result is Food Photography that stimulates the senses, provoking a want and desire to consume through the art of imagery.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM FINE FOOD PHOTOGRAPHYOur expertise in commercial quality Food Photography gives us the opportunity to work with Fine Chefs, Authors, Caterers and restaurants throughout the states and abroad. Our Food Photography services are available for professionals in the food industry who desire a strong representation of their signature dishes or menu offerings in rich, vibrant color and composition.
PREPARING FOR YOUR FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONThe success of a quality Food Photography session involves a collaborate effort from the Art Director, Chef or Food Prep, Photographer, Stylist and available assistants.
In preparation for the Food Photography session, a list of the desired dishes to be photographed along with special presentation requests should be provided to the photographer to consider any required props or backdrops.
While many Food Photographers may use faux food techniques to produce quality Food Photography (airbrushing, paint, paste, smoke, etc.), we prefer to use fully prepared dishes for our food photography sessions to produce striking renditions in the final imagery. Occasionally, we will use faux fruit and vegetables as props when actual fruits and vegetables are not available. However, if requested, we will provide food photography services for artificial presentations.
PROPS FOR FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONSAs a Fine Food Photographer, we have a collection of linens, platters, and dinnerware, along with faux fruits and vegetables that can be made available for your Food Photography session. Though, for originality sake, we may recommend that you supply props that are readily available in your establishment and best represent your image.
One of the most essential parts of a successful Food Photography session is the availability of raw ingredients used in the dishes being photographed as well as tools used for preparation (salt and pepper shakers, sugar container, cheese grater, garlic press, butcher block, etc.)
PRICING FOR FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY SESSIONSFood Photography Session rates are determined on an individual basis, based on location of shoot, length of time, complexity and nature of the items being photographed. Options include per item rates, half day sessions, and full day sessions.
At current time, all shoots must take place on location until we have a readily available gourmet kitchen in-house. We can provide assistance in locating a facility for a Food Photography session if required.
